DBngin

DBngin is an all-in-one database version management tool. It lets you set up a local database server, in the version you need, with a single click. It's a quick way to get a local server to connect to from TablePlus.

DBngin supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis, with several versions of each. See the DBngin website for the current list of engines and versions.

Connect to a DBngin server

  1. In DBngin, create a database server and start it.
  2. In TablePlus, create a new connection for the same database type (see Getting started), using 127.0.0.1 and the port shown in DBngin.

For a local PostgreSQL server, you can also import this URL instead: postgresql://[email protected].
